Prosinac je idealan za kratke vikend izlete u poznate europske metropole na čijim se brojnim trgovima odvijaju prekrasni adventski sajmovi. Mi smo se ovog vikenda odlučili uputiti u Beč, ne toliko zbog božićnih sajmova nego prvenstveno zbog povoljnih aranžmana koje nude brojne putničke agencije u ovo predblagdansko vrijeme.
Zbog nevjerojatno toplog vremena za ovo doba godine dobar dio dana odlučili smo provesti u šetnji gradom i uživanju u svim prepoznatljivim znamenitostima koje Beč nudi. Naša početna stanica je bio nezaobilazan Schönbrunn iz kojeg smo se podzemnom uputili prema centru.
December is ideal for short weekend trips to famous European cities where you can enjoy all the beautiful Advent fairs that take place on numerous squares. We decided for a weekend trip to Vienna due to favourable arrangements offered by many travel agencies in this holiday season. To be honest, our main motivation were not the Christmas fairs, it was more about exploring this beautiful city and enjoying the weekend.
The weather was really wonderful this weekend so we spent the day walking around and enjoying beautiful sights of Vienna. Our starting point was inevitable Schönbrunn from where we took the underground to the city centre.
FLOHMARKT & NASCHMARKT
Ako želite doživjeti malo drugačiju stranu Beča svakako vam savjetujem da posjetite njihov buvljak i najveću tržnicu (Flohmarkt & Naschmarkt, Linke Wienzeile) koji se nalaze na potezu prema centru grada (koristite podzemnu U2 i izađite na 5. stanici od Schönbrunna). Ljubitelji antikviteta i second hand robe ovdje će uživati u ogromnoj ponudi koju nude brojni štandovi. Nakon što ste pronjuškali buvljakom prošećite njihovom velikom tržnicom, sjednite u neki od malih restorančića i uživajte u bečkom doručku ili brunchu.
If you want to experience a little different side of Vienna, I would certainly recommend you to visit the flea market as well as the largest market in the city (Flohmarkt & Naschmarkt, Linke Wienzeile) that are on the way toward the centre of the town (use the underground U2 and get off at the fifth station after Schönbrunn). If you love antiques and second-hand goods, you will really enjoy their flea market. Once you’re done with your flea market shopping, you can take a walk to their largest market, or sit in some of the small restaurants and enjoy a Viennese breakfast or brunch, with a good cup of coffee.
PALMENHOUSE
U Beču postoji velik broj prekrasnih kafića i njihovih starih kavana, no jedno mjesto nalazi se na vrhu moje top ljestvice za popiti kavu. Riječ je o Palmenhouse restoranu/kafiću/baru koji se nalazi u strogom centru grada u starom stakleniku (Burggarten 1). Iako imaju prekrasnu terasu koja gleda na divan park, moj je savjet da sjednete unutra ako ćete biti te sreće da pronađete slobodno mjesto.
Speaking of coffee, Vienna has many wonderful cafes but one place is on the top of my chart. It is the Palmenhouse restaurant/cafe/bar located in the centre of the town in an old greenhouse (Burggarten 1). Although there’s a beautiful terrace overlooking the park, my advice is to sit inside if you are lucky enough to find a spot.
HUNDERTWASSERHAUS & KUNSTHAUS WIEN
Ako ste u Beču samo jedan dan, zaboravite na brojne muzeje jer jednostavno nemate vremena za njih. Iskoristite dan za šetnju centrom gdje vas čekaju znamenitosti poput Katedrale sv. Stjepana, impozantne Hofburg palače, Opere, nezaobilazne shopping ulice Mariahilferstrasse i prošećite do divnih Hundertwasserhaus (Kegelgasse 36-38) i Kunsthaus Wien (Untere Weißgerberstraße 13) koje su udaljene jedna od druge svega tristotinjak metara.
If you are in Vienna for only one day, forget the museums – you just don’t have time for them. Use your day to walk around the centre where you can see the major sights such as the St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Hofburg palace, State Opera, the unavoidable shopping street Mariahilferstrasse and walk to the wonderful Hundertwasserhaus (Kegelgasse 36-38) and Kunsthaus Wien (Untere Weißgerberstrasse 13) which are just three hundred meters apart.
RINDERWAHN
Nakon uživanja u arhitekturi poznatog arhitekta Friedensreicha Hundertwassera vrijeme je za kasni ručak, a ako ste veliki ljubitelj slasnih burgera Rinderwahn restoran (Weihburggasse 3) je pravo mjesto za vas! Imaju odličnu ponudu goveđih burgera, ali i slasne vegeterijanske i pileće burgere. Svakako isprobajte neko od brojnih domaćih piva i uživajte u divnom interijeru.
After enjoying the architecture of the famous architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser, it’s time for a late lunch. If you’re a big fan of burgers, Rinderwahn (Weihburggasse 3) is just the place for you! They have an excellent range of beef burgers, and delicious vegetarian and chicken burgers. Also, be sure to try one of the many brewery beers and enjoy the beautiful interior.
INSPIKED
Mi smo dan završili razgledavanjem odlične pop up izložbe online galerije Inspiked (Bräunerstrasse 12) koja traje do kraja ožujka 2017. godine. Tu vas čekaju genijalne fotografije njihovih poznatih fotografa i amatera, savršeni Lohner e-bicikli i fantastičan Thonet namještaj. U blizini galerije, na poznatom Michaelerplatz-u nalazi se i jedna od najstarijih bečkih kavana Griensteidl u kojoj možete isprobati tradicionalnu Sacher tortu, ali i brojne druge slastice.
We finished our day tour in the excellent pop-up exhibition Inspiked (Bräunerstrasse 12), which runs until the end of March 2017. There you can enjoy the work of Vienna’s famous photographers and amateurs, see the perfect Lohner e-bikes and the fantastic Thonet furniture. Near the gallery, on the famous Michaelerplatz is one of the oldest Viennese coffee places Griensteidl, where you can try traditional Sacher cake, and many other sweets.
